About Us

Our Story

Caitlin and Zach founded Limzey Strategic Cyber in 2023 to bring our unique, business-empowered, risk and security approach directly to our clients without compromise.

Thus far, our careers have been fortunate to include leading Cyber Security strategy and implementation engagements with the most iconic brands in retail, quick-serve restaurants, hotels and resorts, telecommunications, technology, aerospace, financial services, holding companies, insurance, manufacturing, and healthcare. As well as working with the most innovative US government organizations.

Caitlin Hartwig, Founder and Principal Consultant

I have been focused on quality, customer service, and personal responsibility my entire life. I am particularly passionate about distilling complex topics and information into clear and simple approaches. Pursuing my Associates Degree concurrent with high school, and working my way through college as a barista seemed the best way to finish my Bachelors degree, accelerate entry into the workforce, and begin formally delivering value to customers. Working as both sales and project management for a custom software house, and for a brilliant female founder and mentor, taught me how to effectively elicit requirements and define outcomes that were likely to exceed our client's expectations. Transitioning to aerospace consulting, running large integrated programs, got me my first detailed taste of Identity and cyber security. Partnering with Zach to build out the Cyber Security practices at two elite boutique consulting companies allowed me to formally go deeper into the work of cyber and take my delivery capabilities to the next level. Now, after being in this business for 18 years, driving Cyber Strategy and Governance as a Managing Director for a "Big 4" consulting firm, and owning major accounts, I have the confidence to know it is the right time to embark on Limzey.

Zachary Limacher, Founder and Principal Consultant

I have aspired to be a life-long learner for as long as I can remember. I love people and complicated problems. As a classically-trained musician I learned that investing in hard work, people, elegant solutions, and quality are all critical if you intend to create anything that matters. As an Information Security Technical Director and Identity Architect at Charles Schwab & Co for 16 years, I learned from incredible leaders and colleagues how to take ownership of a complicated technology business, to value people first, and to pay attention to how our decisions and actions affect organizational processes over time. As a practice leader and solution provider at two elite, boutique, cyber consulting firms, I learned how to bring my entrepreneurial spirit and unique skills to bear on client results while laser-focused on building capabilities and teams to serve the biggest names in business and government. As a Managing Director at a global leader in strategic consulting, my view widened to a vantage point that spans from c-level strategy down to technical configuration.

Creating Limzey

Neither of us entered the world of Cyber Security through the front door. Our passion for clients, understanding of complex problems, hyper-results oriented approach, and deep expertise in information security have made us well-suited to deliver the types of cyber solutions that world-class organizations need during these unprecedented times of change. After working together at 4 different companies we developed the mutual respect and complementary roles that have made starting Limzey a natural choice for us and many talented colleagues in our network.
